{"id":1802,"date":"2024-11-04T10:50:50","date_gmt":"2024-11-04T10:50:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/drkenrpruitt.com\/KP2\/KP2\/?p=1802"},"modified":"2023-12-02T12:59:44","modified_gmt":"2023-12-02T12:59:44","slug":"november-4-a-crisis-of-faith-part-three","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/drkenrpruitt.com\/KP2\/november-4-a-crisis-of-faith-part-three\/","title":{"rendered":"November 4, a crisis of faith (part three)"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"1802\" class=\"elementor elementor-1802\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-22adea41 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"22adea41\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-5029a5f0\" data-id=\"5029a5f0\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5e8fc377 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5e8fc377\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n<p>So, the question continues:&nbsp;<em>&nbsp;in the midst of a crisis of faith,&nbsp;when God seems distant or even absent,&nbsp;how can one hold tight to the reality of our faith?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em><strong>Within a message from Lamentations there are three simple yet powerful reminders to strengthen our faith&nbsp;<\/strong>(as we learn from Jeremiah&#8217;s example of strong faith in critical times).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reminder #1 (the November 2 devotion): There is and has always been sufficient cause for trusting God in the midst of a crisis (21).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reminder #2 (the November 3 devotion):&nbsp;God\u2019s lovingkindness toward us is never disputed nor interrupted by life&#8217;s crises (22).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, from Lamentations 3:23, consider the third reminder Jeremiah offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>21&nbsp;<\/sup>Yet this I call to mind<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and therefore I have hope:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>22<\/sup>Because of the&nbsp;Lord\u2019s great love&nbsp;we are not consumed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;for his compassions never fail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><sup>23&nbsp;<\/sup><\/strong><strong>They are new every morning;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;great is your faithfulness.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reminder #3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>God\u2019s response to your crisis represents His faithful mercies that are new every morning (23)<\/strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes, when facing difficult moments ahead, you may question if you are able to endure.&nbsp;&nbsp;But listening to Jeremiah\u2019s age-old proclamation, we are reminded that God\u2019s mercies are brand new every morning, for great is God\u2019s faithfulness.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The idea of \u201cgreat\u201d represents a quantitative measure as much as qualitative, for both meanings are intended.&nbsp;&nbsp;This indicates that God\u2019s perfect response to your crisis becomes so constantly experienced that each day brings into your life the powerful demonstration of His faithfulness as if brand new and perfectly designed for that very moment.&nbsp;&nbsp;The idea of \u201cnew\u201d indicates that which is fresh, as in new life.&nbsp;&nbsp;One might say, \u201cthe best.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;God makes Himself completely available to you each day.&nbsp;&nbsp;His mercies and compassions, representing everything God has promised you, is guaranteed each day.&nbsp;&nbsp;Your trust in God is never in vain.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Another idea of \u201cnew\u201d from the Hebrew language represents that which has \u201cnever before been experienced.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;God gives you His mercy and His faithfulness specifically for what you will face today.&nbsp;&nbsp;He holds you up in a new and fresh way every moment. You truly never have to question if you can endure, for God has already made a way.
